Rediscovering the obvious

Rediscovering the obvious is a theme that touches all of us in everyday life.

Rediscovering the obvious

It's when all our certainties crumble that we feel the need for caresses. But since we can't meet or touch, we have to adapt. We also have to discover new ways to avoid feeling too alone. In these situations, rediscovering the obvious can help us.

It's when we're forced to maintain distance that we discover the value of closeness. We also discover the value of boundaries, which, if we learn to use them, can still make us feel united and close. Indeed, the obvious is rediscovered in the little things that once seemed normal to us.

It's when we're forced to distance ourselves that we experience (in a small way) what an outcast feels. We also experience the pain of isolation and the universal need to be loved, welcomed, and reassured. These experiences lead us to rediscover the obvious nature of human value.

It's when we're forced to slow down that we can rediscover the value of pausing, breathing, touching, savoring, and listening. It's precisely in those moments of pause that we rediscover the obvious.

It's when we're prevented from hugging and saying goodbye that we miss being with our loved ones just before they pass away. So we rediscover the value of a ritual like a funeral. From here comes the awareness of how important it is to rediscover the obvious, even in our relationships.

It's only when the obvious disappears that the essence of life becomes clear and what we previously took for granted truly begins to be appreciated. However, all this cannot and must not be forgotten, or the world will soon be blinded again. Therefore, rediscovering the obvious becomes a foundation for living better.

And I hope that from all this pain, before the world starts making noise again, we can truly learn something to change course. Then we can truly begin to honor life again. Ultimately, rediscovering the obvious allows us to begin a new perspective.
