National Day for Cancer Patients

National Cancer Patient Day was established on the initiative of the Italian Federation of Volunteer Associations in Oncology (FAVO) with a directive from the President of the Council of Ministers dated March 5, 2010 (Official Journal No. 87 of April 15, 2010, and a previous directive dated January 19, 2006).

The Government has long assumed the responsibility of promoting and coordinating efforts to ensure the constant improvement of services that seek to meet the multiple needs of cancer patients on various levels: treatment, assistance and psychosocial support, employment law protection, and communication (knowledge of rights is a prerequisite for their protection).

On the occasion of this day, I suggest you look at the Mimi Foundation project "IF ONLY FOR A SECOND".
